With apple season just around the corner I thought it would be a good time to share my Grandma Kaphingst's Apple Pudding recipe. Not much more feels like Fall than the smell of Apple and cinnamon in the air.

Ingredients For baked apple pudding

  • 1/3 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    apple, grated
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts, chopped

How To Make baked apple pudding

  • 1
    Combine, butter, sugar, and egg in mixer bowl. Beat until light, gradually blend in flour, soda, and spices. Stir in vanilla, apples and nuts.

    Pour mixture in an 8x8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

    Serve warm or cold topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
