Ingredients For arroz con leche aka rice pudding

  • 1 c
    rice,uncooked valencia rice
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1 can
    condensed milk
  • 1 can
    evaporated milk
  • 1
    cinnamon stick
  • 1/2
    lemon peel
  • 1/4 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon powder

How To Make arroz con leche aka rice pudding

  • 1
    In a medium pot bring the water and rice to a boil, add in the cinnamon stick, lemon peel & vanilla extract...reduce to low for 20 mins.

    stir in the condensed milk and evaporated milk, stirring constantly, so it doesn't stick, add in the corn starch and continue to stir till thickened about 15 mins.

    add in raisins ( if desired)...set aside and let cool...you can pour in individual ramikens or leave in a large bowl...sprinkle with cinnamon.
