    granny smith apples
  • 1/2 c
    dried cranberries or cherries or raisins
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1 c
    orange juice, fresh
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1 pkg
    refrigerated pie crust
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter half cut into small pieces half melted

    Slice peeled apples into a bowl with the orange juice. Let soak for fifteen minutes. Drain

    mix the rest of the ingredients into apples and pour into pie shell.Top with 1 half cut up butter.

    Add top crust and flute edges.Brush with remainder of melted butter then cut vents and bake till the crust is golden brown. About 50 minutes
