2 lg(9-inch) pie crusts

2 1/2 cbrown sugar, such as demerara

1 lgfree-run egg

1 cevaporated milk

1 Tbspunsalted butter, softened

2 tspunbleached all-purpose flour

1 tsppure vanilla extract
-
1 smpinch ground himalayan sea salt

1 tspmilk, for brushing
How To Make tarte au sucre - sugar pie

1Preheat oven to 375ºF. Mix all the ingredients in a blender.

2In a greased-floured pie plate, pour in the sugar mixture. Place another pie crust on top, crimp and brush with milk. Make a few incisions and transfer to a 375ºF preheated oven. Bake the pie for 50-55 minutes or until the crust is nice and brown

3Remove from the heat and let it cool off for 15 minutes before serving.
