I have a couple of tart crusts that I use. This one is on the sweet side, and I use it a lot for things like fruit tarts, or other sweet items. It is easy to put together, and once baked you can choose to fill it with whatever you choose. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients For sweet essentials: fillable almond tart crust
- PLAN/PURCHASE

1/2 call-purpose flour

1 calmond flour

3 Tbspcoconut sugar

1/2 tspsalt, kosher variety, fine grind

8 Tbspsweet butter, unsalted, cut into cubes and cold

2 lgegg yolks, whipped with a few drops of water
How To Make sweet essentials: fillable almond tart crust

1PREP/PREPARE

2You will need a tart, or ovenproof pie pan to make this recipe.

3Gather your ingredients (mise en place).

4Place a rack in the middle position and preheat the oven to 350f/175c.

5Place the dry ingredients into a food processor fitted with an S-blade, then toss in the cold cubed butter.

6Use 1-second pulses until the butter is incorporated into the ingredients, as pea-sized pieces of butter.

7Add the egg yolks, and then knead with your hands until it comes together. You should have a slightly sticky dough with visible bits of butter.

8Generously butter a tart or pie pan.

9Roll the dough out.

10Fit it into the pan.

11Dock the dough and place into the preheated oven.

13Bake until golden brown, then fill with whatever goodies you desire. Enjoy.
