When I was little, My Grandma had a friend who had Pecan Trees. One summer,they gave us Pecans by the sack load! We shelled Pecans the whole summer! That part was awful, but that was the year my Grandma introduced me to Pecan Pie. Oh boy! I make it fairly often. We love it!

Ingredients For southern pecan pie

1 clight or dark corn syrup

3eggs
-
3/4 cgranulated sugar

1/4 cbutter, melted

1 tspvanilla extract

2 croughly chopped pecans
-
1(9-inch) unbaked, deep-dish, pie crust
How To Make southern pecan pie

1Preheat oven to 350°F.

2Mix corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla using a fork. Stir in pecans. Pour filling into pie crust.

3Bake on center rack of oven for 60 to 70 minutes. Cool for 2 hours on wire rack before serving.
