One of my favorite pies is this recipe for Southern Pecan Pie. I make pecan pie during the Holidays.

Ingredients For southern pecan pie

  • 3
    eggs
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c
    pecan halves
  • 9-inch pie crust, unbaked

How To Make southern pecan pie

  • 1
    Beat eggs; blend in butter; flour, vanilla, salt, sugar and corn syrup.
  • 2
    Sprinkle pecans over pie crust; pour egg mixture over pecans.

    Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and continue baking for 40 minutes or until middle is set.
