Many years ago my mother made peach kuchens with peaches from our back yard. I've tried for years to replicate that taste and this is the closest I've come.

Ingredients For sour cream peach pie

  • 2
    pie crusts
  • 3 lb
    peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 5 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 pt
    sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • dash
    nutmeg

How To Make sour cream peach pie

  • 1
    Fill pie shell with peaches.
  • 2
    In small bowl, combine 1 c. sugar, salt, flour and sour cream and pour over peaches. Cover with lattice crust.
  • 3
    Combine 2 T. sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and sprinkle over pie.

    Bake at 450° for 15 minutes, then reduce to 350° for 40 minutes.
