    dark molasses
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    warm water
  • 2
    unbaked pie shell
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 5 Tbsp
    shortening

How To Make shoo fly pie

    MAKE CRUST AND PUT IN TWO 9-INCH PIE SHELLS AND CHILL. MIX FLOUR SIFTED WITH SUGAR AND 3/4 TEASPOON SODA. CUT IN SHORTENING. MIX THE 1 TEASPOON SODA WITH WARM WATER. ADD MOLASSES AND STIR TO MIX WELL. POUR INTO CRUST LINE PANS AND SPRINKLE WITH FLOUR AND SHORTENING MIXTURE.

    BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 35-40 MINUTES OR UNTIL DONE.
