the glaze on top makes this special. even great made into a pineapple cobbler. you can make this with whatever fruit is in season.

Ingredients For shiny top cobbler

  • 5 c
    fruit of your choice (drained if using canned)
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    soft butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • GLAZE TOPPING
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    boiling water

How To Make shiny top cobbler

  • 1
    spray a 13X9 pan and spread fruit over the bottom
  • 2
    in a large mixing bowl combine all the batter ingredients. batter will be thick.**flour, sugar, milk, salt, b powder, margarmine.

    spoon batter over fruit. spread with a spatula to try to cover.

    combine the corn starch and sugar
  • 5
    sprinkle over top of batter
  • 6
    pour the boiling water over the top
  • 7
    bake at 350 degrees for one hour until golden brown.
