one thanksgiving we burned some of the pumpkin pie crusts during our baking,instead of tossing them out I came up with this alternative.everyone loved it.

Ingredients For pumpkin pie trifle

  • 2 or 3
    pumpkin pies already baked, chopped up into pieces
  • 2 jar
    caramel
  • 2 bag
    gingersnaps crushed
  • 1 jar
    whipped cream, sweetened

How To Make pumpkin pie trifle

  • 1
    chop into pieces already baked whole pumpkin pies lining the bottom of a trifle bowl.enough to cover the bottom
  • 2
    heat caramel, pouring over pumpkin (should be like ribbons)
  • 3
    cover with a layer of crushed ginger snaps, adding more ribbons of caramel, alternate the layers until the top cover with whipped cream or cool whip and chill until ready to serve
