This recipe was given to me by a neighbor. I think it's more of a custard pie. But what a nice texture and the taste is great.

Ingredients For pumpkin pie

  • 9
    large eggs
  • 3 c
    white sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 qt
    whole milk
  • 29 oz
    can pumpkin
  • 3
    frozen pie crust

How To Make pumpkin pie

  • 1
    Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees, along with 2 cookie sheets.

    Beat the eggs in a large bowl until they are foamy, set aside
  • 3
    Beat the rest of the ingredients together blending well.
  • 4
    Fold in the beaten eggs.
  • 5
    Divide the filling amoung the three pie crust.
  • 6
    Place the pie's in the oven on the pre-heated cookie sheets.

    Bake for 1 hour or until tooth pick comes out clean.

    Allow to cool to room temperature.

    Serve with vanilla Ice cream and some cool whip

    For two pies use only 6 eggs and keep the remaining ingredients the same.
