I am not the pie maker of the family. That is, not until now! This is my sisters recipe for perfect pie crust. It is a never fail recipe. Very easy to work with. It is tender, flaky melt in your mouth good! Use this crust for any sweet pie you like. My step daughter and I made these pies for the Holidays. She did a wonderful job, seeing as it was her first pies ever! I figure if we can do it, anyone can. :) I also used a cast iron skillet for one of the pies. Worked like a dream! Nice big pie and the crust was perfect in that one too. I will use the iron skillet from now on!

Bake pies according to your recipe. I baked mine @ 425 degrees for 35-45 minutes. I had left over crust, so, we made cinnamon treats. Roll the left over dough out and sprinkle with additional cinnamon and sugar. Roll up jelly roll fashion and slice into pinwheels. Yum!
