Ingredients For peggi's deep dish pear pie

partially baked crust
- FILLING:

5 anjou pears (or tart apples or other pears)

2 t. unbleached, white flour

1/8 tsp, salt

1 cup nonfat yogurt or sour cream

1 egg
-
1 tsp. vanilla extract
- TOPPING:
-
3 t. sugar
-
3 t. flour
-
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. margarine
How To Make peggi's deep dish pear pie

1PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 °.

2PEEL PEARS & CUT INTO BITE SIZE PIECES. SET AIDE. IN LARGE BOWL, COMBINE REMAINING FILLING INGREDIENTS & FOLD INTO PEARS.

3POUR PEAR MIXTURE INTO PIE CRUST & BAKE AT 400° FOR 15 MINUTES.

4LOWER HEAT TO 350 DEGREES & CONTINUE BAKING FOR 25 MINUTES MORE.

5MIX TOGETHER TOPPING INGREDIENTS.

6REMOVE PIE FROM OVEN & SPRINKLE TOPPING OVER FILLING. RAISE HEAT TO 375° & BAKE UNTIL TOPPING IS BROWN.
