The twist to this recipe is place a cookie sheet in the oven when you preheat the oven. This way, you can use a frozen pie crust and the bottom of the pie will cook faster and will not have a raw dough taste when done. Enjoy!

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    pecans

    9 inch deep dish unbaked prepared frozen pie crust

How To Make pecan pie with a twist

    Preheat oven to 350 bake. The twist to this recipe is to place a cookie sheet in the oven when you preheat the oven. This way, you can use a frozen pie crust and the bottom of the pie will cook faster and will not have a raw dough taste when done. A double insulated cookie sheet is NOT recommended.

    In a large bowl stir eggs, sugar, light syrup, melted butter and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into 9 inch DEEP DISH frozen pie crust.

    Bake 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.

    Cool on wire rack.
