I copied this recipe from a 1980's church cookbook. Roberta R. Crotts submitted this recipe. It is very delicious and is almost like eating cheesecake and pecan pie at the same time. Make two, because one won't last.

Ingredients For pecan pie cheesecake
- FIRST LAYER

1 pkgcream cheese, softened

1/3 cgranulated sugar

1 tspvanilla
-
1egg
-
1 1/4 cchopped pecans

110 inch pie crust
- SECOND LAYER
-
1 clight corn syrup
-
1/2 cgranulated sugar
-
3eggs
-
1 tspvanilla
How To Make pecan pie cheesecake

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the cheese, sugar, vanilla and egg until smooth. Pour into bottom of pie crust. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.

2Beat the corn syrup, sugar, eggs and vanilla together until smooth. Spread over pecan layer. Bake for 50 minutes or until pastry is golden and filling is firm. Serve warm.
