Ingredients For pecan pie

    pie crust (not deep dish)
  • 2
    large eggs
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 c
    dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 c
    white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    white vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans

How To Make pecan pie

    Preheat oven to 400°.
  • 2
    Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in sugars and cook for about 1 additional minute to blend the sugars.

    Beat eggs until light and foamy. Add the butter/sugar mix. Mix well. Beat in flour and vinegar. Mix in vanilla and pecans.

    Prepare single pie crust in 9" pan (not deep dish). Pour filling into crust. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes and then reduce temperature to 350°. Bake an additional 40 - 45 minutes. Filling should look puffy and will just start to crack.

    Cool completely before slicing. Refrigerate leftovers.
