not sure where I got this recipe but the story says it is over 100 years old. Nothing better than a warm piece of pecan pie with vanilla ice cream on top.

Ingredients For pecan pie

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    dark karo syrup
  • 3
    eggs, room temperature
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 c
    pecans, halved
  • 1
    9" unbaked pie shell

How To Make pecan pie

  • 1
    Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix together sugar and Karo syrup. Add eggs, one at a time; add butter. Blend well. Add pecans halves. Mix well. Pour into pie crust and bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool before cutting
