Of all the fruits I love, peaches have to be on the top of the list. This simple yet easy dessert was shared with me when I was part of another chat site and it has come to be a family favorite. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Ingredients For peach squares
- CRUST:

1 cmelted butter

4 Tbspsugar

2 call purpose flour
- FILLING:
-
1 1/2 cwater
-
1 1/2 csugar
-
1/4 ccornstarch
-
4 - 5 csliced peaches (if using canned, drain well first)

1 smbox peach jello
-
1 dashsalt
How To Make peach squares

1mix crust ingredients together by hand then press along sides and bottom of a 9 x 13 pan, or a 9" deep dish pie pan. Bake @ 375 for 15 minutes and set aside to cool.

2in a medium saucepan, mix sugar, water, cornstarch and salt and bring to a boil. Cook, constantly stirring till clear and thickened. Remove from heat and add the jello. Mix well and let cool

3add peaches to the cornstarch mixture and toss, making sure that all are well coated then pour into prepared crust and refrigerate till set. then cut into bars

4*note. this works well with strawberries too, just sub 2 qts of hulled sliced strawberries and a box of strawberry jello for the peaches and peach jello.
