My mother in law used to make this and my hubby likes it with gravy on top.

Ingredients For pasty pie

  • 1/2 lb
    low fat ground beef
  • 6 md
    carrots
  • 4 md
    potatoes
  • 1 md
    unbaked pie shell
  • seasoning salt to taste

How To Make pasty pie

  • 1
    Put pie crust in pie pan or use frozen. Break up half of ground beef and put into bottom of crust. Add seasoning. Layer the rest of the ground beef with carrots and potatoes. Put top crust on and cut vent holes. Cook for about an hour. Serve with dark gravy if desired.
