nothin' special chocolate pie

I have been craving something chocolate and my mother's chocolate pie began to call my name. Since I didn't have her recipe I decided to wing it and create my own this evening. Yum! It is so good. The memories it stirs are warm and fuzzy!

Ingredients For nothin' special chocolate pie

  • 1-1/4 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 box
    jello instant chocolate pudding and pie filling
  • 2 c
    milk

How To Make nothin' special chocolate pie

    In a small bowl, thoroughly combine first three ingredients

    Place graham cracker mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie plate and refrigerate for at least one hour.

    When the pie crust has cooled sufficiently, whisk together the pudding mix and the milk for about two minutes. As you whisk, the mixture will start to firm up.

    Refrigerate the pudding mixture for about twenty minutes and then spoon it into the graham cracker crust.

    Serve pie with whipped cream or Cool Whip topping and keep in refrigerator for up to a week.
