this recipe from Allrecipes.com in November 2007. I am married to a diabetic. He loves his sweets so I try to makes sure I have plenty of desserts on hand with no real sugar. His favorite is apple pie. I added the butter to the recipe.

7 cbaking apples, peeled and thin sliced

1 csplenda no cal sweetner,granulated

3 Tbspcornstarch

3/4 tspcinnamon

1/4 tspnutmeg

1/8 Tbspsalt

1 Tbspbutter or margarine

1double crust pie shell
How To Make nostalgic apple pie

1Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place the sliced apples in a large mixing bowl and set aside. Combine the SPLENDA, spices and cornstarch in a small bowl. Distribute the sugar mixture over the apple slices and toss until well coated; set aside. Place the bottom (uncooked)crust into the pie tin, add the apple mixture. Dot with the butter/margarine (in small pieces), Place the top crust over the pie and seal edges; trim off excess dough. Cut steam slits into top crust. Bake 40-50 minutes, or until top crust is golden.
