Another one of mom's recipes that I thought was perfect....until I discovered a trick to make it even better.

Ingredients For no-fail flaky pie crust

4 call purpose flour-from the freezer

1 tspsalt
-
1 3/4 cvegetable shortening

1/2 cwater, warm

1egg
-
1 tspvinegar
How To Make no-fail flaky pie crust

1PLACE YOUR FLOUR IN THE FREEZER THE NIGHT BEFORE. I know this may sound strange, but it is key in making this crust amazing!

2In a small bowl, beat the water, egg and vinegar together; set aside. Measure the flour in a large bowl; mix in salt.

3Cut the shortening into flour mixture until crumbly and add the wet ingredients. Mix well (I use my hands), divide into 4 and roll into balls. Roll out crust and make the pie of your liking!
