My mother has been making this for me every Christmas for as long as I can remember. When we got married, she handed the recipe down to my wife and she makes me two for every birthday as well as Christmas. Hands down my favorite dessert in the world! It is great while still warm from the oven and even better cold from the refrigerator.

Ingredients For nana's buttermilk pie

1/2 cbutter, melted

6 lgeggs, beaten

1/2 call purpose flour

1 tspsalt

3 1/2 csugar

1 cbuttermilk

1 tspvanilla extract
How To Make nana's buttermilk pie

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Combine melted butter and eggs.

3Add flour, salt and sugar and mix well.

4Add buttermilk and vanilla.

5Pour mixture into two regular or deep dish pie crusts.

6Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes until firm and golden on top.
