Ingredients For mrs. aver's date walnut pie

1/2 csugar

1 ccorn syrup

1/4 tspsalt

1 Tbspall purpose flour

2eggs
-
1 Tbspmelted butter

1 tspvanilla

1 1/4 cchopped walnuts

1 pkg(7 oz.) pitted dates

1unbaked 9" pastry shell
How To Make mrs. aver's date walnut pie

1In a large bowl, beat together sugar, syrup, salt, flour, and eggs. Mix well. Add melted butter, vanilla, nuts and dates (cut in pieces).

2Pour into shell and bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Then lower oven temperature to 300 degrees and continue baking for another 50 minutes, or until filling is set.
