I thought I had lost this recipe forever! Just found it again in an old recipe box. My Momms came up with this recipe oh so many years ago! We always had an abundance of strawberries because my Dad always had a huge garden and he grew strawberries along with all the usual vegetables. This bakes up like a meringue but collapses as it cools. When completely cool, fill it with strawberries that have been sugared with water add to make a juice. Let them sit while you whip up this Angel Berry Pie! Then add whipped cream on top! Hope you enjoy it as much as my family and friends do!

    egg whites
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 tsp
    vinegar
  • whipped cream

How To Make momma's angel berry pie

    Pre-heat oven to 325. Beat egg whites until stiff.

    Slowly add sugar and beat into peaks.

    Add vanilla and vinegar.Beat into meringue.

    Bake for one hour in 325 degree oven.

    Let cool and let it fall. Fill with strawberries and juice. Top with whipped cream.
