My kids don't like nuts, but love the inside of a pecan pie. I found this receipt in Southern Food and it has become a big hit with everyone. I now make a REAL pecan pie and a MOCK one.

Ingredients For mock pecan pie

2eggs
-
2/3 cmargarine/butter, melted

2/3 cgranulated sugar

2/3 clight corn syrup

2/3 cregular rolled oats
-
1/4 tspsalt

1 tspvanilla extract

1unbaked 9-inch pie crust (i use a deep dish, forzen pie crust)
How To Make mock pecan pie

1Combine the eggs, margarine, sugar, corn syrup, oats, salt and vanilla in a bowl. Mix well.

2Pour into unbaked pie crust and bake for 1 hour at 350. You may want to put the pie on a cookie sheet to catch any over flow
