Can't remember where I got this recipe but the best part is this meringue does not get "weepy."

Ingredients For miracle meringue

1/2 cwater
-
1/4 cplus 2 tablespoons sugar

1 Tbspcornstarch

3 or 4egg whites, room temp

1 dashsalt
How To Make miracle meringue

1Combine water, sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Stir well. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened and transparent.

2Beat egg whites and salt until foamy. Continue beating while gradually adding cooked mixture. Beat 3 minutes until stiff (not dry) peaks form. Do not overbeat.

3Spread over pie-sealing edges. Bake at 425 degrees for 5-7 minutes or until lightly browned.
