Ingredients For mincemeat

  • 2 lb
    cooked beef (ground)
  • ADD
  • 4 1/2 lb
    peeled and chopped apples
  • 1/2 lb
    suet
  • 1 1/2 lb
    raisins
  • 1 1/2 lb
    currants
  • 2 Tbsp
    nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    scant, cloves
  • 3 1/2 lb
    sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    allspice, ground

How To Make mincemeat

  • 1
    Put together and add 1 cup meat broth and 1 1/2 cup vinegar. Cook until done.

    Can and seal or freeze.

    After thawing; for a pie add 1-2 cups applesauce depending on its size.
