I never really use this recipe since my husbadn hates meringue but it has been in my family for a while and people ask how to make it all the time. Use it to top your favorite pies and puddings.

Ingredients For meringue

  • 3
    egg whites
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • pinch of cream of tarter.

How To Make meringue

  • 1
    Using a high speed mixer, beat egg whites and sugar, add tiny amouts of cream of tarter while blending, total amount about a pinch. It should form soft peaks when finished.
  • 2
    This recipe is sort of hard to do correctly at first and will require some experimenting with mixing speeds and amount of cream of tarter.
