This is one very delicious chocolate pie! I have never made it, but I have eaten it wice back in the early '90s. I just found it while retrieving my Chicken Sopa recipe. Mary Joyce told me this recipe is very old. MJ passed away in early October of 2011. She was 87 years old and a she was a very classy, special Southern Belle who will never die in my heart and mind. She was a fabulous cook and fabulous friend too. I love you always, Mary Joyce! This pie filling should take approx.20 minutes to make on the stove top. I have not made it because Jerry wasnt a chocolate pie eater til recently

*SUGGESTION* If you have never made a pie before, I encourage you to read through my pie recipes to thoroughly understand one of the 'secrets' to making a good pie filling is knowing the art of how to mix your ingredients together properly. This mixing process can easily be mastered. I have been long winded in other pie recipes so a 12 or 13 year old may make these old fashioned pies. Enjoy!
