This sweet and droolicious dish is a tradtion from the past and continued in almost all homes. And Mama's happen to be in that baZillon home catagory. Cobbler is dated back to the English settlers. But onward. My mamma was a great cook! (and I am sure your mamma is great too. But we talking about my "mamma" here LOL. So when she made this is just felt like a comfy home full of love. Peach compote is the key in this ingredient and when you add homemade whipped cream on top. Well, so just sit and enjoy

Ingredients For mamma's southern peach cobbler

1 1/2 cself rising flour

1 Tbspcinnamon, ground

2 tspbaking powder

2 cgrandulated sugar divided

1/2 cwater

4 cfrozen whole peaches, thawed

1 stickbutter ( mama called it oleo)

1 cwhole milk

1/2 tspfresh squeezed lemon juice optional add to thicken peach compote
How To Make mamma's southern peach cobbler

1Pre-heat oven to 350" degree F' In a saucepan add your 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water and stir then add your 4 cups peaches. Boil for 10 minutes, stir frequently

2While peach compote is boiling. In a large mixing bowl add, self rising flour, ground cinnamon,and baking powder together and mix well.Then add your whole milk a little at a time sirring well set aside

3Take out your 9X13 baking dish and add the stick of butter to it. Place the baking dish in the pre-heated oven and let the butter melt. Once melted take your baking dish out of oven and pour the batter out evenly over melted butter . "DO NOT STIRE HERE! VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO STIR! :) Then add your peach compote to the batter evenly " AGAIN DO NOT STIR" DO NOT MIX!

4Place in a pre-heated oven 350"degre F and bake for 60 minutes / 0ne hour. When done, let the peach cobbler cool beore serving. Add ice-cream or even make your own whipped cream it onoy takes 30 seconds to make. i kow i have a whipped cream maker I use( ask me about this)
