This recipe came from my late husbands sweet Mother, Hazel. I had not tried this until he told me about it. We asked for the original recipe and this is it! It is very special... Certain members of the family are addicted to it! :) It's so good!

Ingredients For hazel's best transparent pie

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2. Tbsp
    flour
  • 3
    whole eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 and 1/2 stick
    butter melted
  • 3/4 c
    cream or half and half

How To Make hazel's best transparent pie

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar and butter and add flour. Stir unit smooth
  • 2
    Add eggs one at a time and beat well.

    Gradually add cream and then vanilla and mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake for 35 to 45 min.. Until golden brown and is mostly set.
