This is easy and a great way to make a type of cherry pie even if you are not a pie maker. The crust will make itself on top.

Ingredients For magic cherry pie

  • 1 c
    sifted flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    margerine, melted
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 can
    (no. 2 can) sour cherries

How To Make magic cherry pie

  • 1
    Drain juice from cherries into measuring cup. Add enough water to fill cup. Place into sauce pan and heat.

    Sift flour, salt, baking powder and 3/4 cup sugar into mixing bowl.; add milk and margerine. Mix lightly until smooth.

    Pour batter into greased 2 quart casserole. Drop drained cherries over it; sprinkly 1/2 cup sugar over them. Pour boiling cherry juice over all and bake at 350 about 1 hour. Crust will be on top.
