Mom was a fantastic cook, and this is one of her recipes. I personally don't like cherry, so tend to substitute strawberry pie filling. I imagine you could put any flavor pie filling you would like into this wonderful recipe!

1 cgraham cracker crumbs

2 Tbspbutter, melted

1 1/2 lbcream cheese

6eggs

1 csugar

1 1/2 Tbspvanilla

1/8 tspsalt

1 ptsour cream

5 Tbspsugar

1large can cherry pie filling

2 Tbspsugar

1/8 tspalmond extract
How To Make madeleine's cherry cream cheese pie

1In a 9x13 pan combine 1st 3 ingredients and pat into the bottom. Bake at 300 degrees 10 minutes. Cream cheese, add 1 egg at a time and beat after each addition. Add 1 cup sugar gradually and the next two ingredients. Beat until well mixed and pour slowly over graham crackers. Bake 35-40 minutes, remove from oven. Cream together sour cream and next two ingredients and pour over the top, cook 5 minutes then cool and chill. Blend all remaining ingredients and pour over sour cream mixture. Refrigerate.
