My sweet cousin, Lorraine, shared this recipe with me several years ago. It is the best peach pie that I have ever tasted!

29" raw pie shells
How To Make lorraine's peach pie
-
1Peel and slice peaches. Place slices into unbaked pie shell & set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-
2Mix together the egg, butter, flour, sugar and vanilla. Pour & spread that mixture over peaches (it will be rather thick) and cover with second unbaked pie shell. Make a few slits in crust to allow for steam release.
-
3Bake @ 350 for approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
-
4Optional: You can always brush top crust with egg wash or melted butter then sprinkle with a little sugar. (I brush with butter). Also, it's even better with homemade crusts so if you have the time please make your own crusts.
