We love fresh peaches from our trees. We freeze them and I make pies and cobblers w/them. When we freeze, we add some sugar and fruit fresh so don't have to add but you will want to add some see not below. I wanted a combo pie/crisp, so I came up w/this combo and we LOVE it, hope you do too. Just add vanilla ice cream LOL

1 mdpie crust

1 qtfresh peaches, or fresh frozen (w/l cup sugar and fruit fresh added

1 tspcinnamon

1dash of salt

1dash of nutmeg

1 Tbspbutter or margarine

How To Make lori's best peach recipe

1make your single pie crust and put into a pie pan

2peaches should be sliced into bite sized pieces. Add as much sugar as you like to make peaches sweet but tart( approx. l cup). Put peaches, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg into a medium sauce pan. Add corn starch and heat till slightly thickened then add the 1 T. of butter.

3Put hot peach mixture into your pie crust

4for Topping: combine ingredients by cutting stick of butter into the other 3 ingredients with a pastry cutter until crumbly. Crumble over the top of peaches. Add a few nuts on top if you like them.

5Bake 45-60 min in a 350 oven or till topping is browned and peaches are bubbly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

6PS we freeze our fresh peaches w/a cup of sugar and some fruit fresh so I don't have to use extra sugar when making the dessert, so you can add as much sugar to the peaches as you like to make sweet or tart tasting
