This recipe is older than me! It makes a great lemony pie without a lot of fuss.

Ingredients For lemon chess pie

unbaked 9" pie shell

2 csugar
-
1 Tbspflour
-
2t Tbspcorn meal
-
4whole eggs, beaten
-
1/4 cmelted butter
-
1/4 cmilk
-
3 Tbspgrated lemon rind

1/4 clemon juice
How To Make lemon chess pie

1Preheat oven to 425
-
2Combine sugar, flour and corn meal.

3Add eggs and blend well with mixer.

4Add rest of ingredients and mix well.

5Pour into pie shell.

6Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 and bake 30 minutes or until set. If it starts to brown too much place foil loosely over the top without touching filling.
