Ingredients For key lime pie

  • CRUST
  • 1 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 4 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter melted
  • FILLING
  • 14 oz
    can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c
    key lime juice
  • 3 lg
    egg yolks
  • 4 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • WHIPPED CREAM
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make key lime pie

  • 1
    Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease a 8 inch pie pan. combine the crumbs, sugar and melted butter together. Press into the bottom of the pie pan. Bake for 8 minutes. Set aside.

    Reduce heat to 275 degrees. Whisk the filling ingredients together and pour over the crust. Bake until set about 30 minutes. Refrigerated until cold about 6 hours.

    To make the whip cream. Beat the heavy cream until stiff beat in the powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over the cold pie.
