21/2 Tbspflour

11/4 csugar

1 lgcan of evaporated milk

1/2 cmilk ( divided )

4egg yolks, reserve whites

2 Tbspbutter
-
1 canflaked coconut

1/2 tsppure vanilla extract

dashsalt
How To Make kats coconut cream pie

1In a heavy boiler , put 1 1/4 cups sugar , 2 1/2 tablespoons flour and dash of salt , blend , then add in about 3 to 4 tablespoons of milk and 4 egg yolks . Mix well .

2Add butter , pure vanilla , coconut and remaining milk. Stir till mixed well . Cook until thick over medium heat , stirring constantly to prevent sticking .

3Put in baked pie shell . I use a 9 inch pie plate . Top with meringue and bake till a light golden brown at the peaks .
