Ingredients For kathy's grasshopper pie

  • 6 oz
    chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 1/2 c
    nuts, chopped
  • 35 lg
    marshmallows
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3 Tbsp
    creme de menthe
  • 3 Tbsp
    creme de cacao
  • 1 1/2 c
    whipping cream, whipped

How To Make kathy's grasshopper pie

    Line a 9-inch pie pan with aluminum foil. Melt chocolate with the butter either over a double boiler or in the microwave. Add nuts and mix well. Spread evenly on bottom and side on pie pan. Chill until firm, about an hour. Remove shell from pie pan and place on serving plate. Keep chilled.

    Combine in a double boiler, marshmallos, milk,and salt. Heat until melted. Remove from heat. Add liqueurs. Stir until blended. Chill until thickened, about an hour. Gently fold in whipped cream. Pour into pie shell. Chill for at least an hour before serving. Can be frozen but allow to sit out to soften pie shell for cutting.
