Ingredients For kahlua ice cream pie

9 ozchocolate wafer cookies

1/2 cunsalted butter, melted

10 Tbspkahlua, divided

1 tspespresso powder, instant

3 ozsemi-sweet chocolate, chopped

1 Tbspunsalted butter

1 ptice cream: vanilla, coffee, or chocolate chip

1 ptchocolate ice cream

3/4 cwhipping cream, whipped
How To Make kahlua ice cream pie

1To serve, pipe decorative border of whipped cream around inside edge of pie.

2In food processor, place half of cookies, breaking into pieces.

3Process to make fine crumbs.

4Repeat with remaining cookies.

5Add 1/2 cup melted butter and process with on-off pulses, just to blend.

6Press crumbs evenly onto bottom and up side of 9\" pie plate.

7Press crumbs evenly to rim and bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes.

8Cool completely.

9In small saucepan, heat 6 tablespoons of Kahlua and espresso powder over low heat until warmed and powder is dissolved.

10Stir in chocolate and 1 tablespoon butter and stir until melted and smooth.

11Cool completely.

12Transfer vanilla ice cream to electric mixer bowl and allow to soften slightly.

13Add 2 tablespoons Kahlua and beat on low speed to blend.

14Spread over bottom of cooled crust and freeze until firm.

15Spread cooled chocolate mixture over ice cream in plate.

16Freeze until firm.

17Transfer chocolate ice cream to mixer bowl; blend in remaining 2 tablespoons Kahlua as above.

18Spread chocolate ice cream over sauce in pie.

19Freeze until firm.
