This is THE most delectable sugar cream pie I've ever tasted and it is so easy to make. The recipe came from the Indianapolis Star, July, 1992. Make sure your hands are clean for this one, because you'll be using your finger for a spoon!

Ingredients For indiana sugar pie

19-in. pie crust

4 Tbspall purpose flour

2 Tbspcold butter (do not use margarine!)

1 csugar

1 pinchsalt
-
1 cheavy cream
-
1 cmilk
-
1 tspvanilla extract

1 pinchgrated nutmeg
How To Make indiana sugar pie

1Blend flour, butter, sugar, and salt in a food processor until smooth. Pour into unbaked pie shell.

2Add cream and mix gently with finger (you heard me!), being very careful not to tear the pie crust.

3In a measuring cup, combine milk and vanilla. Pour over cream and DO NOT STIR! Sprinkle generously with nutmeg.

4Bake on center rack in a 300-degree oven for 1-1/2 hours, until wiggly.

5NOTE: Try to restrain yourself from eating the whole pie in one sitting.
