Ingredients For harvest suprise apple pie

  • 1 box
    refrigerated pillsbury pie crusts
  • 6 c
    thinly sliced granny smith apples
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    chilled butter, diced
  • 9
    caramel squares, quartered

How To Make harvest suprise apple pie

    Heat oven to 375. Spray a 9" deep dish pie pan w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, combine apples, lemon juice, sugars, spices, flour, butter and caramels.

    Stir to coat ingredients evenly. Place 1 pie crust into bottom of pan. Spoon mix into crust. Top w/ pie crust. Crimp edges. Poke holes into crust w/ fork.

    Sprinkle top crust w/ a little sugar. Place pie pan on baking sheet. Place foil strips around edges of pie crust. Bake 50 mins. Take foil off the crust the last 20 mins of bake time.
