WE HAD 3 CHERRY TREES IN THE BACK YARD AND FRIENDS AND FAMILY WOULD COME OVER WANTING ME TO MAKE THIS FOR THEM WELL MY DAD LOVED IT AND I MADE IT MOSTLY 4 HIM. WHAT WAS TIME CONSUMMING WAS ''PICKING'' THEM OFF THE TREES LOL BUT IF PEOPLE LET ME KNOW AHEAD OF TIME I COULD HAVE 2 OR 3 BY THE TIME THEY GOT THERE.

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1-2 teasp corn starch
  • 2-3 cans cresant rolls

    IF U WANT SPRAY DISH WITH COOKING SRAY THEN UNROLL CANS OF CRESANT ROLLS DO NOT SEPERATE AND PUT IN BOTTOM OF BAKING DISH. SPRINKLE DOUGH WITH A LIL CAKE FLOUR [U MAY USE AN OBLONG BAKING DISH. WHEN U BUY UR CHERRIES MAKE SURE THE PINT CONTAINER IS OVER FILLED WITH CHERRRIESIT MAY LOOK LIKE ALOT BUT WHEN THEY COOK DOWN U'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN

    IN STOCK POT [NOT REAL LRGE] PLACE CHERRIES AND 2 CUPS SUAGR AND AND A LIL WATER JUST TO COVER CHERRIES. LET THEM COOK DOWN AND ADD A LIL MORE WATER AND SUGAR [1/3 CUP] AND LET COOK DOWN AGAIN CHERRIES SHOULD BE TENDER NOW

    NOW ADD THE CORN STARCH. THIS WILL COS THEM TO THICKEN UP AND WHEN ITS SOFT AND TENDER AND THICK POUR INTO CRUST. THIS MAY BE USED IN AN OBLONG BAKING DISH.

    CUT STRIPS OF DOUGH AND PLACE ACROSS TOP OF FILLING. THEN CUT SOME MORE STRIPS OF DOUGH AND THREAD THREW TOP LAYERS OF DOUGH. UNDER AND OVER TOP STRIPS THEN BRUSH A LIL MILK OVER TOP DOUGH AND SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR

    PLACE IN PRE-HEATED OVEN OF 350. BAKE UNTIL TOP CRUST IS GOLDEN BROWN AND CHERRIES R BUBBLING. PROBLY 30 - 40 MINS. DON'T BURN
