Ingredients For golden squash pie

4eggs
-
4 cmashed cooked butternut squash

1 cbuttermilk
-
1/4 cbutter, melted

2 tspvanilla extract

2 csugar
-
2 Tbspall-purpose flour
-
1 tspsalt

1/2 tspbaking soda

2unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)

ground nutmeg, optional
How To Make golden squash pie

1In a bowl, combine the eggs, squash, buttermilk, butter and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients; add to the squash mixture and mix until smooth. Pour into pastry shells. Cover edges loosely with foil.

2Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Remove foil. Bake 25 minutes longer or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle with nutmeg if desired. Store in the refrigerator.
