Ingredients For german apple pie

6 capples, cored, peeled and sliced - toss with a squeeze of lemon ( optional )

1 csugar
-
1/4 cflour
-
2 tspground cinnamon

1 cheavy cream
-
singlepie crust shell
How To Make german apple pie

1Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon together in a medium bowl.

2Sprinkle 3 tbsp of sugar mixture into prepared pie crust.

3Top with 1/2 of the apples. Sprinkle with half of the remaining sugar mixture and top with remaining apples.

4Sprinkle remaining sugar mixture over apples and pour heavy cream evenly over apples and sugar.

5Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350 degrees and cook for an additional 55 to 60 minutes. Cool completely before serving. Note: I covered my crust with foil, until the last 15 minutes of baking. If you don't cover each apple with the cream, you may get a few pieces as I did, that shows the sugar mixture...its still just as delish!! Take my word for it...Yummo!!!!
