This "from scratch" easy pie is a delicious version of a Southern classic pie! This is my mom's recipe, and growing up, it was one of my favorite! A la mode is a MUST!

Ingredients For fudge pie

  • 1 stick
    butter/margarine
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs, beaten slightly
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1/4 c
    plain flour (if you use self-rising, consistency is more "brownie" like)
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1
    unbaked pie shell

How To Make fudge pie

  • 1
    Melt butter on stove top in heavy saucepan. Stir in sugar and eggs.

    Add flour and cocoa. Stir briskly until well mixed.
  • 3
    Add vanilla, making sure it is blended throughout.
  • 4
    Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  • 5
    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until well set.
  • 6
    Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
