I created a fifth sweet potato pie recipe with a twist of French vanilla. It's in the style of a double layer pumpkin pie, with a new French vanilla filling on the bottom of the crust.

1 cheavy cream

1packet instant French vanilla pudding mix

8 ozcream cheese, softened

4 TbspFrench vanilla liquid creamer

1unbaked pie crust (9 inch)

1 cvanilla chips
-
3sweet potatoes
-
2 Tbspmargarine
-
1 ccane sugar
-
3/4 cfat free milk

2 tsppure vanilla extract
How To Make french vanilla sweet potato pie

1In a medium bowl, combine the heavy cream, pudding mix, cream cheese and liquid creamer; whisk together until blended.

2Spread into bottom of the pie crust. Sprinkle with vanilla chips. Refrigerate for 4 hours.

3Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

4Bring a large saucepan of water to boil, add the sweet potatoes and boil for 30 minutes. Drain well and peel them.

5Place in a large bowl and mash with a potato masher until the lumps are gone.

6Add the margarine, sugar, milk and vanilla extract to the mashed sweet potatoes. Beat with a fork until combined.

7Spoon into a prepared pie crust.

8Bake for 25 minutes or until the pie is set. Cool completely.
