This old timer is a Food Section classic from the L.A. Times. It goes back to its’ first printing in 1965. It’s a moist and fudgy brownie in the shape of a pie.

Ingredients For four minute brownie pie

2 eggs
-
1 cup sugar
-
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

1/2 cup flour
-
3 to 4 tbsp. cocoa
-
1 tsp. vanilla
-
dash salt
-
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
-
whipped cream or ice cream
How To Make four minute brownie pie

1Put eggs, sugar, butter, flour, cocoa, vanilla, and salt in small mixer bowl. Beat 4 minutes. Stir in nuts and pour into greased 8 inch pie pan.

2Bake at 325 for 30 minutes or til done. Pie will settle like a meringue when cool. Cut in wedges and serve with whipped cream. Serves 8
